Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)
Platelets are a critical component of the healing process and contain growth factors that are responsible for soft tissue repair, bone regeneration, development of new blood vessels, and stimulation of wound healing. Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is concentrated blood that has been enhanced to increase the number of platelets in the plasma, optimizing the wound-healing rate.
Bone Marrow Aspirate (BMA)
Stem cells found in bone marrow play a vital role in the body’s ability to heal. Bone marrow aspiration is a minimally invasive procedure that collects bone marrow from which to obtain those stem cells. Harvest Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (BMAC) involves collecting bone marrow from the patient’s body via a simple procedure and concentrating it to optimal levels so it can be re-implanted.
Adipose Tissue
Adipose tissue (also known as fat tissue) is loose connective tissue that can aid in tissue regeneration. More commonly used in aesthetic procedures, Orthopaedic doctors have begun to use concentrated adipose tissue as a foundation to assist with tissue regeneration. Autologous Cytokine-Rich Serum (ACRS)
Autologous cytokine rich serum (ACRS) is derived from whole blood and is preferentially enriched with growth factors and cytokines, specifically the anti-inflammatory compound interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1Ra). Thus, ACRS is a powerful biologic for fighting inflammation of any kind including degenerative joint wear (OA) and skin inflammation.
